Spirit Lead

Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, Abba, Father. So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir. Galatians 4:6, 7
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:12, 16

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
A pastor was fond of saying he taught his children to obey quickly, sweetly, and completely. Isn’t that what we as children of God are to be doing in regard to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives? Isn’t it true that delayed obedience is disobedience?

What would it look like to live a life completely and fully lead by the Holy Spirit—responding to the Spirit’s nudging in every facet of your life? Can you imagine it—constantly listening for that small voice and obeying quickly, sweetly and completely?

Isn’t this what we should all be striving for daily—a life completely surrendered to the direction of the Holy Spirit? Not only when we find ourselves in the despair of especially troubling situations, but in all situations—living a life passionately and victoriously for Christ each and every day!

The good news is that life is available for each of us as Christians now. We don’t have to wait to start living the victorious, triumphant life. Galatians 4, verses 6 and 7 tells us we not only have the Spirit living within our hearts, but we are also joint heirs with Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:12 tells us we can know the things that have been freely given to us by God and even further, verse 16 tells us we have the mind of Christ. And lastly, Romans 15:13 says we can abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

As Christians, the infinite power of the Holy Spirit resides within us; you have only to listen and obey…quickly, sweetly, and completely.

God Bless!
