R U 2 Busy?

As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"
"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "You are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." Luke 10:38-42 (NIV)
Are you so busy with daily life that you don’t have time for Christ? You have a demanding job; you’re married; you have children; etc. You don’t have time to go to church; you don’t have time to read the Bible; you barely have time to whisper a quick prayer before you fall to sleep as your head hits the pillow each night.

We rush through life as though we are professional drivers on the NASCAR circuit accumulating points, prizes, and cash for each win. Our lives feel out of control and yet we quickly dismiss the “one thing” that brings order and true substance to into our lives…Christ.

Turn your day-planner over to Christ. Let Him bring the relief and order to your life you so desperately need. Follow Mary’s example; choose “what is better, and it will not be taken away”.

Seek first God's kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well. So don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have its own worries. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:33-34 (NCV)
