The Plan, The Call, The Result

Soon after the children of Israel began the journey in the Wilderness, the Lord called upon them to build a portable sanctuary. The Lord gave the plan to Moses for him to execute. But God did not stop with the giving of the plan.

In Exodus 31:2a, 3, the Lord tells Moses, “See, I have called by name Bezalel…And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship”. The Lord continues to tell Moses in verse 6, “And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab…and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you”.

A few chapters over you read where Moses is relating this to the children of Israel. In Exodus 35: 30, Moses tells the people the Lord has called by name Bezalel and in verse 34 he adds, “And He has put in his heart the ability to teach, in him and Aholiab…”

In regard to the material with which the tabernacle is to be built, recall before the Hebrews left Egypt, they plundered the Egyptians. Refer to Exodus 3:21-22.

Back to today’s story, Exodus 35:5b tells us, “Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring …an offering to the Lord…” God stirred the hearts of the people (check out verses 21-29) and they brought, and they brought, until in Exodus 36: 6-7,(NKJV)
“So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, ‘Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.’ And the people were restrained from bringing, for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done—indeed it was too much.”
As you may have already guessed, the point of all of this is to say, when God has a plan for you, never fear, never doubt, for He will call you by name, give you the plan, and if you are faithful, the result will be heaped up and overflowing. God is in charge; all you need to do is follow.

God Bless and Godspeed!
